The best worst cinnamon rolls ever

Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house I
was spinning around baking
treats, too big for a mouse.
Well as December ends, I can’t let it end without bragging about some amazing cinnamon rolls that I whipped out for Christmas morning. “Everything in Moderation” is a phrase I usually stick to when it comes to food, although these bad boys are a contradiction entirely. Nothing is very moderate about these, and I wouldn’t recommend you eat them on a daily basis, but in my book Christmas is the time to splurge. As athletes, fitness gurus, and healthy individuals, sometimes it’s hard to let yourself enjoy a little, and not feel guilty about the holiday treats. The holidays are a wonderful time to celebrate and what better time to enjoy some out-of-the-ordinary treats than during the off season?
Anyway, I am telling you that these were life changing. If you’re anything like me, you’d agree that nothing beats a cinnamon roll done right, and let me tell you…these are done right. They definitely take a bit more effort than purchasing them from Cinnabon, but oh so worth it.

Here’s the recipe, if you dare:
Dough:
§ 1 tbs dry yeast
§ 1 C milk
§ 1⁄3 C sugar
§ 1⁄2 C butter
§ 1 tsp salt
§ 2 eggs
§ 4 C flour
Filling:
§ 1⁄4 C butter
§ 1 C brown sugar
§ 3 tbs cinnamon
Icing:
§ 1⁄2 C butter
§ 1 1⁄2 C powered sugar
§ 1 oz cream cheese
§ 2 tbs heavy whipping cream
§ 1 tsp vanilla
§ pinch salt
Instructions:
Dissolve yeast in milk and then mix in the rest of the dough ingredients.
Let the dough rise for a couple of hours or until it is doubled in size.
Mix together the filling ingredients and set aside.
Roll out the dough onto a floured surface and sprinkle evenly with the mixture and lay it on thick.
Roll up the dough into a log and cut into 12 cinnamon rolls.
Refrigerate over-night and set out an hour before you want them to bake in the morning.
Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes and whip up the frosting while you’re waiting for the masterpiece to bake.
Spread each roll evenly with frosting and watch it magically seep into the nooks and crannies of the sugary rolls.
